Scott Lewis is the founder and CEO of Brightworks, one of the leading sustainability advisory firms in the US, with offices in Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles. Scott is a graduate of Stanford Law School and studied political economy at Colorado College.
He has published two books and dozens of articles on environmental and sustainability subjects, done environmental policy work for non-profits and national elected officials, and served in management positions in several early-stage companies before founding Brightworks. He has also been trained in corporate and non-profit governance at both Stanford and Harvard business schools, and is the past president of the Oregon Natural Resources Council (now Oregon Wild), a past board member of the Northwest Earth Institute, and is a current board member of Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc., a global leader in steel recycling (NASDAQ: SCHN).
