PoSI has developed a suite of tools, resources and services to help cities successfully launch EcoDistricts. We are creating a national learning network, informed by our Portland region pilots, our professional partners and the EcoDistricts Summit, the premier annual conference dedicated to neighborhood-scale sustainability innovation. An overview of our consulting and training opportunities is below. We are happy to work with you to tailor our consulting and training offerings to your city. ConsultingEcoDistrict Strategy: Create a customized green neighborhood strategy. Let us help you identify pilot sites, align partners and develop an implementation framework. District Assessment: Apply the EcoDistrict Assessment Method to understand current neighborhood performance, set future performance targets and identify the five to ten highest impact projects. Green + Integrated Infrastructure: Let us help you customize a strategy to develop green and integrated infrastructure across the areas of energy, water and waste management. Green Economic Development: Work with us to conceive and launch a regional green economic development strategy. Key strategy components could include cluster, branding and commercialization activities. TrainingEcoDistricts for Practicioners: This engaging workshop will introduce participants to EcoDistricts, a four-step "process management framework" to guide neighborhood sustainability projects. Public policymakers, urban designers, developers, and community-based organizations will be equipped with practical governance, engagement, assessment, and project development tools.
