Tripp leads Pyramid's Pre K-20 education practice, specializing in strategic communications, public policy, political strategy and organizational development. He has run dozens of strategic planning efforts, designed community engagement, advocacy and organizing strategies, and armed organizations with the focus and discipline they need to be successful. His recent clients include Portland Public Schools, the Northwest Evaluation Association, Partners for a Hunger Free Oregon, the Oregon Workforce Investment Board and the Northwest Health Foundation.
Before joining Pyramid, Tripp was senior director of policy and programs with the Portland Schools Foundation, operated his own consulting firm for nonprofits, was a principal in the Northwest's leading independent public opinion and communications firm, Davis, Hibbitts & McCaig, and for nearly a decade, led multimillion-dollar public policy and community development programs for the Northwest Area Foundation. In 2001, Tripp was selected as one of 16 national fellows recognized by the German Marshall Fund of the United States for outstanding leadership.
Tripp holds a master's degree in public affairs from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota.
